Drawing Lesson - Distorted Grid Drawing from a Photograph
Drawing a Portrait with Distorted Grid: You will use the same photo with the square grid for this assignment. Instead of drawing a symmetrical square grid on your drawing paper, you will draw a grid of various proportions and/or with fluid curved lines. Now, you will map each box of your original photo, in the odd spaces, one at a time, and build a drawing that will have a distorted look to it. You will still have 6 spaces across and 8 spaces down.
Materials: 4B, 6B pencils, 18 x 24 quality drawing paper.
